To create a custom number format using the Format Cells Dialog Box

Select a cell or a range. 
Click the Home tab. 
Click the Number Dialog Box Launcher.
Click the Home tab. Click the Number Dialog Box Launcher.
Click Custom.
Click Custom.
Type the number format code. Preview your selections 
in the Sample box. Click OK.
Check result.
Check result.
